Bitcoin is Legal Tender* in Two More Countries

In the last few weeks, two more countries have basically declared Bitcoin as legal tender.

Following El Salvador, a nation called Central African Republic surprised everyone with its announcement. Merely a few days after, Panama declared a similar law (Panama, however, does not allegedly have the power to declare it legal tender, but it is basically like what is widely understood as legal tender).

All this happened within 11 months — El Salvador, the first nation to declare Bitcoin as legal tender, did last June 2021. While we don’t claim to know the future, you know what happens next in the video.

Whether or not Bitcoin is adopted as legal tender in the Philippines, it would be a big help for overseas Filipino workers sending money back home, especially as wallets with access to Bitcoin and Lightning Network (see BloomX.app, CashApp, Strike, BlueWallet, Wallet of Satoshi, Muun, Breez, Phoenix) become more popular here and abroad.
